Gift: The Promise

Nyrath rushed forward and clung to him tightly, legs shaking, eyes stinging. She wanted to yell at him but her throat was tight and she had no energy for it. She was exhausted, the past few months seemed to catch up to her all at once and she gave a choked sob, partly from relief that Nori had returned, the other part was from anger at him for leaving at all. Nori slowly put his arms around her, one around her waist, another on her back, and pulled her to him a little more.
"I said I'd come back." He said after a bit of silence, voice a bit hoarse.
He was not going to hear the end of this for quite some time but for now, now he was back.

Nori was back and Nyrath wasn't going to let him go again.

Nyrath and Nori's relationship is doing weird things to my mind .w . I find myself absently thinking about the troubles they might encounter, siblings reactions, commitment issues, doubts of feelings- Anyways! I'll just hope this isn't too ridiculous an idea but, Chenny, let me know if it is! The title is because I was listening to a song by Tracy Chapman - The Promise, it's cute and kind of applies to this sort of thing.
